Green Iceberg Ltd is a private not-for-profit research and innovation organisation, established through a strategic alliance between Futures Diamond Ltd (UK) and Technology Partners Foundation (Poland). Our multidisciplinary team has over 25 years of experience in foresight and innovation, coupled with a delivery-first mindset: curious, rigorous, and collaborative. We focus on sustainable development by working in short cycles, co-creating with partners, testing ideas with evidence, and transferring skills to ensure that our solutions endure.

Dr. Rafael Popper is the President of Green Iceberg Ltd and a distinguished scholar–practitioner in the fields of foresight and innovation as well as sustainable development. He serves as the Director of Futures Diamond Ltd and the Futures Capacity Academy (UK), leading the Centres for Foresight and Innovation (CFI) network throughout Europe. With academic appointments across Europe, he has authored over 200 publications and has led or co-led more than 70 projects on a global scale, recognised as a Top 30 Futurist by Global Gurus.

Michał Towpik is the Vice President of Green Iceberg Ltd, bringing over 25 years of experience in consulting, finance, and executive management. A graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, he also holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota. With a strong focus on foresight and innovation, he has held leadership roles across advisory, IT, and e-mobility sectors, collaborating with Technology Partners since 2006. In his role, he is responsible for leading project delivery and financial management, all while contributing to sustainable development.

Barbara Kręsa supports Green Iceberg Ltd with finance and accounting, leveraging her 30+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and tax functions, including her work with Volvo Trucks and a Polish Academy of Sciences institute. With a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance and a qualification from the Ministry of Finance for accounting services, she demonstrates foresight and innovation in her approach. Her strengths lie in bookkeeping, tax compliance, and travel settlements, all contributing to sustainable development.

Dr. Krzysztof Dragan supports Green Iceberg’s deep and green tech work with expertise in structural diagnostics and monitoring. He holds a PhD in composite structures (2008) and a D.Sc. (2017), and collaborates with Polish and international research centres to develop solutions for monitoring composite structures, wind turbines, and industrial and power-generation assets. His specialisations include non-destructive testing, embedded sensor technologies, signal analysis, and machine-learning-enabled diagnostics for wind turbine digital twins.

Dr Marek Janocha supports Green Iceberg’s offshore wind and digital twin work as a Senior Computational Engineering Expert, specialising in computational science for marine and subsea industries. His research combines Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) to develop advanced simulations and high-fidelity digital twins for complex offshore environments. He has contributed to international and European R&D initiatives, including IEA Wind TCP Task 49 on the integrated design of floating wind arrays.

Dr Michał Dziendzikowski supports Green Iceberg’s deep-tech and digital twin work as a Senior Structural Health Monitoring Expert, specialising in embedded sensing, signal processing and data-driven diagnostics for aerospace structures. His research combines piezoelectric sensor networks, statistical analysis and machine-learning-enabled monitoring to detect damage, estimate loads and support fatigue assessment in operational settings. He has contributed to aerospace and defence R&D, translating SHM methods into deployable monitoring.

Dr Guillermo Velasco supports Green Iceberg’s foresight and innovation policy work as a Senior Foresight & Innovation Policy Expert, specialising in strategic intelligence, horizon scanning and policy design. With 15+ years of international experience, he has advised governments, UN organisations and the European Commission on emerging technologies, sustainable innovation strategies and STI evaluation. He holds a PhD in Innovation and Foresight from the University of Manchester and leads capacity-building initiatives strengthening ecosystems.

Przemysław Kośmider supports project management with over 20 years of experience in foreign trade and international projects, specializing in foresight and innovation. He holds an MSc from the University of Warsaw, an Executive Master from HEC Paris, and postgraduate studies from the Warsaw School of Economics. Having managed overseas operations for a Polish aviation and defense exporter, he has also supported SMEs in EU innovation projects, including initiatives with Green Iceberg Ltd that focus on sustainable development.
